We will be reading and discussing Emily Dickinson, The Death of Ivan Ilyich by Leo Tolstoy (suggested translation– Richard Pevear and Larissa Volokhonsky) , selections from Marcel Proust, In Search of Lost Time, Abraham Joshua Heschel, “Death as Homecoming” and other Jewish texts.
