This program is perfect for those looking to convert to Judaism, new to Judaism, wanting a refresher, or looking for a way to kick-start their next steps in Jewish learning and practice.

Loss, Grief and Transformation: Insights from Modern Literature and Jewish Tradition

We will be reading and discussing Emily Dickinson, The Death of Ivan Ilyich by Leo Tolstoy (suggested translation– Richard Pevear and Larissa Volokhonsky) , selections from Marcel Proust, In Search of Lost Time, Abraham Joshua Heschel, “Death as Homecoming,” and other Jewish texts.
